Our goal is to provide accurate, reliable, and up-to-date COI and clear guidance. Where possible, we conduct primary research in countries of origin to fill information gaps we have identified through data analysis which cannot be addressed through desk-based research. We currently have around 150 published on the Gov.Uk website covering around 40 countries.ĬPINs include information from a wide range of sources including media outlets local, national and international organisations and the Foreign, and Commonwealth and Development Office. Country policy and information notes (CPINs) provide country of origin information (COI) on the most common and/or more complex issues arising in protection claims in the UK.
