The hoses linking Moen Magnetix shower heads to the dock are at least 57 inches in length. The video below from Moen shows a demo of the basic features of the Moen Magnetix range of shower heads: The flow rate of 2 GPM (gallons per minute) is powerful enough to provide a strong shower even when you switch between the many spray options. In my use of this line of shower heads, a shower head with a handle is an added advantage over fixed ones and Moen makes the best of both worlds. The freedom you have is in the handheld one which can be twisted and turned in many different directions to the exact spot you want the water to be. Even for the combo designs, the rain shower head doesn’t change direction. The showerheads don’t pivot to different directions. However, be careful not to drop it too many times since it might get damaged. You won’t need to worry about normal use wearing them out. The showerheads are made of high-quality plastic which can withstand some abuse when in use. You switch between these spray functions using either a dial control or push-button on the stem of the handheld shower head. The dockable shower head has 6 different shower settings and is 3.75 inches in diameter. The rain shower head is 6.75 inches in diameter which covers the whole body when in use. In my experience using the combo design, the pressure from the shower was slightly low when both shower heads were turned on.įor the combination shower heads, the rain shower head has one full flow function in which a full rainfall experience is replicated. ![]() You can use both shower heads at the same time or use them independently as you please. The handheld one uses the magnetic docking system described above while the fixed one stays fixed and is larger for an immersive shower. The Moen Attract Magnetix is also a single shower head design.īoth of these shower heads can be found in combination designs with a handheld and fixed shower head. The Moen Engage Magnetix, for example, has a single shower head attached to the dock with a hose and the docking mechanism. Moen Magnetix showerheads come in various designs either with a single or double heads. The angle is, however, quite comfortable to use for most people at different heights. The docking surface is flat and forces you to use that angle. The only downside to this dock is that it doesn’t allow for multiple docking angles. The magnet on the shower head is just right in that it isn’t too strong that it needs to be yanked off to release the shower head or too weak that it falls off by itself. As long as you’ve brought it close enough, it’ll snap into place and stay there until you pull it off again. You don’t need to align or see the dock as the magnets do it for you. When you need to use the shower in other positions, you simply pull off the shower head from the dock, use it then put it back even with your eyes closed. When docked, Magnetix showerheads are well-positioned to serve as fixed showerheads whereby you can take a shower handsfree. ![]() With the Moen Magnetic remote dock, the handheld shower head magnetically attaches to the dock. In other shower heads, it is a cradle which you have to be accurate with each time you need to use the handheld showerhead.
